The free tier moves AI work between tools and people. Pro is being designed around what happens when that work belongs to a team: who owns a handoff, who signs off on it, and how you answer “where did this come from?” a year later.
Ownership, review, audit — that’s the direction. The specifics are being shaped with early teams now, and what ships first depends on what they need most.
The intended shape
- Hosted public service — wr.fi, the official public deployment. Free; every protocol capability included.
- Self-hosting — the server is AGPL; run your own instance (source publication in progress). No protocol feature is withheld.
- Managed team governance — ownership, review, audit, retention. In development with early teams; this is the part that will cost money.

Signing in adds permanence and storage — never a smaller push quota. The whole protocol (push, handoff, append, catch-up, version-safe update, review, workspaces) is free at every tier.
We’re looking for teams that:
- need a person to approve AI-generated work before it ships
- move one task across several agents or tools
- hand work from CI or an overnight run to a human in the morning
- need to answer “which agent did this, and who signed off?” a year later
